I pledge to work together with elected members of the General Assembly, regardless of political affiliation, to bring North Carolina to the forefront in education, public safety, economic development, and infrastructure improvements to build a vibrant and diverse economy for our state’s future.

As your next State Senator from District 27, I, Joe Wilson hereby pledge that:
- I will fight to end out of control increases in taxes and user fees.
- I will make job creation and positive economic development a top priority.
- I have always made crime and public safety top issues and will vote for laws to give local officials the tools needed to keep us safe.
- I will demand of my fellow Senators, as well as pledge, my own honesty, integrity and accountability in state government as your District 27 Senator.
- I see education reform as paramount to our future in North Carolina.
- I will work hard every day to insure we see our equal share of state funding for Guilford County, returning more of our tax dollars to us to stop tax increases that are now occurring annually.
- I will sponsor legislation to reform mental health care in our state,getting patients back into treatment and off of the streets.
- I will vote to protect your property rights against improper uses of Eminent Domain laws.
- I will work to end the ridiculous political games that hold up important legislation in N.C
